Carrie Hooper is the creative mind behind Madre Notte. An Atlanta native, she studied medicine at Mercer University and spent five years working as a physician assistant before happily trading in scrubs for full-time motherhood in 2025.

Madre Notte started with a surprisingly simple frustration: why is it so hard to find a really good nursing bra?

Not just one that technically works, but one that fits beautifully, feels good against your skin, makes feeding your baby easy, and still feels like something you would have chosen before becoming a mother.

What started as Carrie searching for that bra turned into researching intimates brands, talking to other mothers, studying what already exists, and noticing all the places where maternity and nursing wear still seem to ask women to compromise.

This site is where she documents that process - the inspiration, the research, the things she’s learning, and her attempt to figure out whether it’s possible to make something better.

Because becoming a mother changes a lot of things. Your standards don’t have to be one of them.
